With only 3 months left before the Election...what is the Campaign Focus?

Can I really be hearing this right?  What is it that our President wants to make the campaign about?  From all of the coverage in the news, you would think we would be deep into issues of extreme importance to the State of the Nation.  Let’s see, what is the campaign about?

Is it about those things that the Federal government is sworn to do for our nation? Things like:
-
The protection of our boarders?  No, the President has our border patrol shooting bean bags at assailants armed with automatic weapons, some from his own failed program. He refuses to send ICE to uphold the law in AZ, and promotes amnesty for Illegal aliens.

-          The taxation and regulation of foreign of business and government to prevent the intrusion of their power and ideology upon our citizenry?  No, he is a citizen of the world who believes in international law over national sovereignty.  He has demonstrated this regularly in his method of negotiation and communication, he has attempted to use sway in subversion over missile treaties (remember the caught off mic statement to Russia), favors the international arms treaty that is in direct opposition to our 2nd amendment, Supported Funding UN programs that directly fund abortion in China, supports international treaties on climate change that are proven to be about wealth transfer not the environment, even the “science” they were based on is false.

-          The efficient use of government to protect the tax resources of our citizenry?  No, never had an approved budget during his administration, he isn’t even supported in a budget by the democrat senate. Spent a trillion dollars on a failed stimulus, much of which went to donor paybacks, and international companies beyond our borders?

-         The protection of State’s Sovereignty and the limited powers of the federal government? No, he has shown he has little regard to limited government under the constitution and would rather sue states that try to protect themselves and their citizenry from illegal intrusion on the border or at the ballot box.

Is it about Transparency?  I seem to remember that was a big campaign thing for him last time.  Well I guess in a sense it is about that, when it comes to him speaking about his opponent at least.  Let’s not forget that Mr. Romney has done everything required by law.  It is just our presidents desire to deflect from himself in trying to make Romney’s tax returns an issue.  Who was it that has spent millions of dollars to hide his past?  Who had his records sealed?, who acts behind closed doors and goes around congress to make unconstitutional appointments and governs by executive order rather than rule of law?  Who is it that invokes 12th hour executive privilege to keep details of Fast and Furious from being disclosed after claiming that all had been released and there was nothing to hide?  Who was it that forced a unconstitutional health care bill through congress without even giving legislators the opportunity to read what was in it, all the while claiming it was not a tax and now we find out it is the largest tax ever imposed on the citizenry of the United states?  Well, no it is not about that type of transparency.

Is it about solid economic policy that will set our economy back on the path of prosperity for the citizens?  NO! It is not that because if you were a prosperous business, you didn't do it anyway, it was somebody else!

No the presidential campaign at this point is not about any of these things according to our President, our “leader”.  As of today it is about whether or not Mr. Romney was or was not at Bain during time that we all know he was focused on the Utah Olympics, and weather decisions that we made by a private enterprise that Mr. Romney may or may not have had any influence over were appropriate.   Not whether they were legal, or whether they even served the interest of the shareholders.  Oh and by the way, what we do know, is that one of Obama’s campaign contribution bundlers, was at the head of Bain Capital when the decisions are being questioned were made. Oh the irony.

But when did what was done in a private business, with private funds, for the purposes of shareholder value, that were likely not even under the immediate control of the person in question, become the prime issues of the day for a presidential campaign?  Maybe when the President cannot run on anything else?  The very nature of the dialog from the white house campaign should give America pause.  Is this what we want form our President?  Is this helping America make a decision that is productive to moving our nation forward?

Are we a better informed, more cohesive, more nationally solid people because of the actions and dialog of our President, or is his campaign just more of the same that we have found in his failed presidency over the last 3 and a half years.  Is it more Chicago politics, distraction and division of the people, trying to divide and conquer, for powers sake, be damned the constitution, the will of the citizenry, free enterprise, and general liberty?

Well, regardless of what Romney did with his own money, time and energy as a private citizen. Which frankly I applaud, I guess you know where I stand.

Maybe it’s time to think for yourself about what is important in this election.  Who will uphold the standard of liberty, the rule of law, and honor the oath of office which he will be sworn to. Our current President has not.  Please someone raise issues of real importance to our nation,  I really don’t care if somehow Romney’s Bain Capital was somehow parodied in the last Batman movie.  But form the White house surrogates you would think it is issue # 2.

Come on, enough distraction stop getting your news form John Stewart and the like, let’s have a real campaign, one of substance, or is that one over already?  I guess we do have the record of the President.
